DESIGNER CHRIS MADDEN REDESIGNS SET OF CW11 MORNING SHOW

CW11 Set

NEW YORK – Celebrity Designer, Chris Madden, unveiled today live on the CW11 Morning Show, the new set furnished with designs from her exclusive home collection for JCPenney. The new furnishings will compose the permanent set for the studio and include a loveseat, accent chairs, dining table, leather headboard, bedding, as well as tabletop, decorative accessories, pillow and throws. Sex and the City best-selling author, Candace Bushnell, was the first CW11 guest to be interviewed sitting on the new set where she discussed her new book, One Fifth Avenue, as well as the release of the Sex and the City DVD.

Chris Madden is an iconic name in the world of home furnishings, as the author of 16 design and lifestyle books, the host of her own television show on HGTV for 8 years and the creator of thousands of home fashion products. Hundreds of millions of American women have looked to Chris over the past thirty years for design direction and inspiration as she has guided them on their own decorating endeavors.

Chris worked with her partners at JCPenney, while she planned the four interview areas for the new set, JCPenney donated all of the furnishings, using the two Chris Madden chocolate brown accent chairs as the starting point for the new look. Madden planned an intimate Coffee Bar area filled with her Darija tabletop collection of mugs, plates and bowls and added her Grand Isle dining set as an additional conversation space. She also added the Millbury Court loveseat to the living room area, and chose pillows, candlesticks and hurricane lamps in deep fall colors for the banquette. Finally, her tufted leather headboard and Natchez bedding makes the bedroom space look classic and stylish while tying it in seamlessly to the rest of the set.

The new Chris Madden designed CW11 set was revealed live on air Tuesday, September 23rd during the CW11 Morning News. The CW11 Morning News (WPIX-TV) is seen in the Tri-State Area weekdays from 4:30-9:00 a.m.
